We will guide you basics of 3D printing, modeling and by preparing models that you design yourself. You will learn to work with tools such as Tinkercad and Slicer and you will learn how to use a 3D printer correctly – from first turning it on to maintenance.
The 3D printing training will last three hours and will offer a comprehensive introduction to the world of 3D technology. After a brief introduction of the lecturers and their experience in the field of 3D printing, participants will learn the basic principles of 3D printing and its practical use. The introductory part will include an overview of the technologies that today enable the easy creation of three-dimensional models.
Then the participants start working with the tool Tinkercad, where they will try practical exercises focused on creating their own 3D models. The instructor will show basic and advanced functions Tinkercad, thanks to which models can be effectively designed for further editing and printing. This will be followed by a block dedicated to modeling and simulation, which will show participants the possibilities of optimizing and testing models before printing.
In the next section we will focus on class organization and model management, which is especially useful for educators who want to work effectively with projects in their teaching. The following is a sample of online databases such as Printables and Thingiverse, where participants will gain an overview of the options for downloading 3D models. They will learn how to correctly select and download models that can serve as a basis for their own modifications or direct printing.
The next block of training will be dedicated to preparing models for printing using software Slicer. Participants will learn to set the necessary parameters and prepare models so that the result is as high-quality as possible. At the end of the training, it will be time to work with a 3D printer, where participants will learn practical procedures and basic printer maintenance. The instructor will also will pass on tips, How improve print quality and what to pay attention to when working with the printer.
At the end of the training, there will be a space for participants to ask questions so that they can get more information on the topics they are interested in. The entire training will conclude with a summary of the main points and an offer of additional resources for self-study or the development of their own projects in the field of 3D printing.
