Do you want to measure the acidity or alkalinity of solutions at school or at home? The pH sensor allows you to easily monitor the pH values of various liquids. It is simply connected to the expansion board via a connector MB1, MB2 or universal product and is ideal for projects such as water testing, chemistry experiments, or a smart laboratory measurement system.

IDC pH sensor

Do you want to measure the acidity of water in the laboratory, during experiments or perhaps in aquaponics? The Gravity pH sensor for micro:bit is an ideal tool for students and advanced hobbyists. With accurate measurements in the range of 0-14 pH and simple connection via IDC cable, it is ready for immediate use.

The sensor supports two-point automatic calibration (buffers 4.0 and 7.0), making its setup easy and accurate. It is fully compatible with micro:bit, Arduino and OMG Robotics MB1, MB2 and MB3 expansion boards. The measured values can be displayed on an LED or LCD display, for example. Programming is done in MakeCode or another language.

Features - IDC pH sensor

Signal conversion board:

  • Power voltage: 3,3 - 5,5 V

  • Output voltage: 0 - 3,0 V

  • Probe connector: BNC

  • Signal connector: PH2.0–3P

  • Measurement accuracy: ±0,1 pH at 25°C

  • Module dimensions: 42 × 32 mm (1,66 × 1,26 in)

pH probe:

  • Type: Laboratory

  • Measuring range: 0 – 14 pH

  • Temperature range: 5 – 60°C

  • Zero point: 7 0,5 ±

  • Response time: <2 min

  • Internal resistance: < 250 MΩ

  • The cable length: 100 cm

  • Service life: Depends on frequency of use

Note:

  • The BNC connector and signal converter must be kept dry and clean, otherwise it will affect the input impedance, resulting in inaccurate measurement. If it is wet, it needs to be dried.
  • The signal conversion board cannot be placed directly on a wet or semi-conductive surface, otherwise it will affect the input impedance, resulting in inaccurate measurement. It is recommended to use a nylon post to fix the signal conversion board and leave a certain distance between the signal conversion board and the surface.
  • The sensitive glass bubble in the head of the pH probe should not touch any hard material. Any damage or scratches will cause the electrode to fail.
  • After the measurement is completed, disconnect the pH probe from the signal conversion board. The pH probe of the analog sensor should not be connected to the signal conversion board for a long time without power.
  • The cap of the probe bottle contains a protective liquid (3,3 mol/L KCL). Even if the bottle cap is screwed tightly, some protective liquid may still leak around the bottle cap and form white crystals. But if there is still protective liquid in the bottle cap, it will not affect the life and accuracy of the probe.
  • So use it with confidence. It is recommended that the white crystals be poured back into the protective liquid in the bottle cap.
  • This product does not form a separate functional unit and may require professional assembly.
