Are you planning to build a robot, a toy car, or a tank with the micro:bit? The MB2 expansion board makes it easy to implement these and other projects. It is designed to work reliably with all OMG Robotics educational kits and tutorials.
The MB2 is a compact expansion board designed by OMG Robotics for all versions of the micro:bit. It allows for easy connection of peripherals and is ideal for creating wireless controllers or standalone battery -powered devices . With an integrated circuit for charging and monitoring the battery status, there is no need for a wired power supply - the board works independently with the battery connected.
You can use the MB2 as a base for a remote control with a joystick, but also for connecting a display or sensors. The board is suitable for simple and advanced projects, such as controlling a robotic car, tank or automatic greenhouse. It can be programmed in MakeCode using blocks or in languages such as Python and JavaScript.
The connection to the micro:bit is via the IO bus, which is fully compatible with all generations of the micro:bit. Detailed instructions for use can be found in the instructions section.
